MADRONE VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTER OPENING

Toeniskoetter & Breeding Inc. Development (TBI Development) will open the first phase of the 80,000-square-foot Madrone Village Shopping Center, President Brad Krouskup announced. The four initial businesses there will be South Valley National Bank, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, FedEx Kinko’s and Chipotle Mexican Grill. Together the four will occupy more than half the space in the four-building, 28,000-square-foot first phase.

          SAN JOSE –- Erin Toeniskoetter, who as senior asset manager has been running the Asset Management Division of Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development, has been appointed Vice President of Asset Management and an officer of the company, President and CEO Brad Krouskup announced. Toeniskoetter has been an employee of the company since 2000 and Senior Asset Manager for 18 months.

“Erin’s position is a new one that reflects both on her past success and the growing importance of our Asset Management Division,” Krouskup said. “She has overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of more than two million square feet of commercial property, as well as direct responsibility for coordinating leasing activity.”
Tenants currently being managed by Toeniskoetter include Paramit Corp., American Cancer Society, Barracuda Networks, Seagate Technology, Colliers International, EDO and Eclipsys.
Toeniskoetter manages seven employees. She joins four other operating officers of the company. They are Krouskup, who is President and CEO; Senior Vice President Dan Amend; Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Yvonne Siko and Gary Dam, Vice President of Construction Services. “Asset Management is enjoying solid business, and we look forward to growing it further,” Toeniskoetter said. “We are benefiting from our recent acquisitions and third-party asset management.”

Toeniskoetter’s promotion coincides with an example of growing through both acquisition and third-party asset management. TBI Development and the Bryan Family Partnership acquired equal ownership of the 84,000-square-foot building at 91 E. Tasman Drive in San Jose. Upon completion of construction to upgrade the property to Class A office/R&D status, it will fall under her direct management.

Toeniskoetter is membership chairman of the Silicon Valley region of BOMA, the Business Owners and Managers Association. She is the oldest daughter of Charles J. (Chuck) Toeniskoetter, who co-founded the company with Dan Breeding. Chuck Toeniskoetter is Chairman of the Board while Krouskup is in charge of daily operations.

Erin Toeniskoetter, 37, was raised in Los Gatos. She graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1989 and received a bachelor’s degree in management from Chico State University in 1994. Before joining TBI Development, she managed a portfolio of buildings in Southern California for Spieker Properties.

Founded in 1983, Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development has developed some 3 million square feet of buildings and serves as managing general partner for a number of diversified real estate properties throughout Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. Properties under management include two business parks in Morgan Hill, 30-acre Cochrane Business Ranch and 110-acre Madrone Business Park, and the company is developing the 80,000-square-foot Madrone Shopping center in the Madrone Business Park. Other properties include 120,000-square-foot, six-story 2150 N. First Street, 450 West Santa Clara Street, the O’Connor Health Center and 525 Race Street, all in San Jose; Gateway Square in Campbell and the Granite Creek Business Center in Scotts Valley.
