ADAM TOENISKOETTER JOINS TOENISKOETTER & BREEDING DEVELOPMENT

SAN JOSE –- Adam Toeniskoetter, the son of Chairman and Co-founder Charles J. Toeniskoetter and a former high school and college football star, has joined the staff of Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development. And, like his father, he is getting his initial training in construction.
Adam Toeniskoetter, 24, currently is working as a project engineer under the management and direction of TBI Construction & Construction Management, Inc., another company co-founded by his father, but one which is now under other ownership. The work initially included on-site construction management and commercial leasing at the development company’s Madrone Village Shopping Center, which has recently opened near the intersection of Highway 101 and Cochrane Road in Morgan Hill. Adam Toeniskoetter is now working on the new Portola Valley Town Hall, a project emphasizing conservation construction techniques designed to win certification as a “green” building.
Adam Toeniskoetter earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies last year from Central Florida University in Orlando, which he attended on a football scholarship. Adam also had been a star football player at Los Gatos High School and De Anza Community College.

“Adam joins the company at a time of significant development activity when there are opportunities for a wide range of learning experiences,” the senior Toeniskoetter said. “His joining TBI Development was the result of a strong desire on his part to be involved with our family of companies. We are extremely pleased to have him with us.”
Adam Toeniskoetter said he was thankful to have an opportunity to join a company where he already knew almost all the people.
“I’m learning as much and as fast as I can,” he said. “I’m trying hard to reach the point where I can make a positive impact on the company.”
Adam Toeniskoetter is the youngest of four children of Charles and Linda O. Toeniskoetter of Los Gatos. Two sisters also work for TBI Development. Erin Toeniskoetter, 36, is a senior asset manager in charge of property management, and Leah Toeniskoetter, 29, is a project development manager with responsibility for development at Bear Valley.
The eight-acre Madrone Village Shopping Center in Morgan Hill will comprise 80,000 square feet of retail space and is part of the company’s 110-acre Madrone Business Park. To the west is Toeniskoetter & Breeding Development’s 30-acre Cochrane Business Ranch, which is completely built out.
Toeniskoetter & Breeding Development has a partnership with Minneapolis-based Thrivent Financial for Lutherans that recently led to acquisition of 120,000-square-foot First Franklin Plaza at 2150 North First Street in San Jose and three office buildings in Campbell totaling 61,056 square feet.
The company also is engaged in significant development at Bear Valley in Alpine County in partnerships that include Dundee Corporation of Canada. The current development proposal consists of 400 condominium and condo-hotel units, 47,000 square feet of retail and support amenities and a high-speed chairlift connecting Bear Valley Village with the Bear Valley Mountain Resort.
Founded in 1983, Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development has developed some 3 million square feet of buildings and serves as managing general partner for a number of diversified real estate properties throughout Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. Previous projects include 450 West Santa Clara Street, the O’Connor Health Center and the western headquarters for Integrated Circuit Systems, all in San Jose; Gateway Square in Campbell and the Granite Creek Business Center in Scotts Valley. The company currently pursues selective third-party property management, acquisitions and new developments.
