TBI ACQUIRES THREE CAMPBELL BUILDINGS

Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development has acquired three adjacent office buildings located between Winchester Boulevard and Camden Avenue in Campbell. The three one-story buildings at 743, 745 and 747 Camden Ave. total 61,056 square feet and were acquired from a partnership owned by the family of the late Howard J. White III, Vice President Dan Amend of TBI Development announced.

Daniel T. Amend, Vice President of Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development (TBI Development), has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Children’s Discovery Museum. Mr. Amend also has joined the museum’s Committee on Exhibits & Programs, which is developing the “Art Loft,” a new art studio for children 4 to 10 years old for which TBI is making a significant contribution.

 

 

 

 

 

 

DAN AMEND NAMED DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S DISCOVERY MUSEUM

SAN JOSE – Daniel T. Amend, Vice President of Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc. Development (TBI Development), has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Children’s Discovery Museum. Mr. Amend also has joined the museum’s Committee on Exhibits & Programs, which is developing the “Art Loft,” a new art studio for children 4 to 10 years old for which TBI is making a significant contribution.

As a director of the prominent San Jose institution, Mr. Amend, 31, continues TBI Development’s tradition of community service and the company’s specific support for the Children’s Discovery Museum. Both CEO Charles J. Toeniskoetter and President Brad Krouskup have previously served on the Board of Directors. Additionally, TBI Construction & Construction Management, Inc. is donating general contractor services for the “Art Loft.”

At TBI Development, Mr. Amend’s responsibilities include acquisition of investment properties, the negotiation of new leases and lease renewals, financing for all investment properties, obtaining city development entitlements, and the maintenance of relationships with tenants and investment partners.

Mr. Amend was born in San Jose and grew up in Santa Clara. He has been associated with Toeniskoetter & Breeding since his sophomore year at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, when he worked for TBI Construction during his summer vacation. While studying at the University of Notre Dame, Mr. Amend interned during summers with TBI Development, and he joined the company full-time after earning a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 1996.

In other community activities, Mr. Amend is a director of Senior Housing Solutions, Inc., a Milpitas-based not-for-profit organization operating eight group homes for ultra-low-income seniors in Santa Clara County.

Among his professional activities, Mr. Amend is a member of the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). He has an Officer License and a Broker License from the California Department of Real Estate.

Mr. Amend; his wife, Priscilla; and their son, Max, live in the Willow Glen area of San Jose.

Development has developed 2.5 million square feet of buildings, manages a portfolio of 2 million square feet and serves as managing general partner for a number of diversified real estate properties throughout Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties. The TBI portfolio includes the 30-acre Cochrane Business Ranch and adjacent 110-acre Madrone Business Park in Morgan Hill; 450 West Santa Clara Street, the O’Connor Health Center, and 525 Race St., all in San Jose; Campbell Gateway Square in Campbell; and the Granite Creek Business Center and other buildings in Scotts Valley.
